SD Huesca has signed Julio Salinas to lead its youth academy, in an effort to strengthen its sports structure and give prominence to local talent. The 54-year-old, with experience in forming footballers, has developed most of his career in two of the most prestigious youth academies in Spanish football, Villarreal and Athletic Club. In Villarreal, he worked as a methodology coordinator and coach, participating in the development of one of the most productive youth structures in the country. Subsequently, he moved to Lezama to join Athletic Club, where he held positions related to methodology and coach development. His possible arrival would be a significant reinforcement for a youth academy that is expected to play a much greater role in the sports project. The incorporation of Salinas would also lead to internal movements. Juanjo Camacho would take over the direction of the international area of the club. Therefore, the bet on Julio Salinas is just another step in the deep remodeling driven by Javier Sanz de Arce. First was the choice of Raúl Jardiel for the bench, still pending officialization. Shortly after, the incorporation of Dani Aso to the high-Aragonese filial, and, finally, the leap of Adrián Sipán as technical secretary. SD Huesca wants to rebuild itself and for this it is resorting to profiles that know the territory and share the objective of returning the club to professional football.
